Metromake / OpenSCENARIO generator
ASAM OpenSCENARIO 1.2 · .xosc

OpenSCENARIO generator for your road maps

Create OpenSCENARIO 1.2 scenarios on real lanes of your own map. Metromake writes a ready-to-run .xosc next to its .xodr, validated against the schema and run in esmini.

Templates

Three scenario templates

File → Export → OpenSCENARIO writes the scenario and the road network together.

Template 01

Follow a lead vehicle

The ego vehicle drives behind a slower vehicle in the same lane.

Template 02

Cut-in from the next lane

A vehicle in the adjacent lane changes into the ego vehicle's lane.

Template 03

Two vehicles at a junction

Two vehicles approach the same junction on different roads.

  • Validates against the OpenSCENARIO 1.2 schema
  • Runs in esmini: both vehicles drive and stay on the road network
  • Lanes are chosen by reading the exported .xodr back, so road and lane ids always match
Samples

OpenSCENARIO examples to download

Each .xosc references the .xodr next to it. Download both into the same folder and open the .xosc in esmini.

Follow a lead vehicle
sample-follow.xosc + sample-follow.xodr
Cut-in from the next lane
sample-cutin.xosc + sample-cutin.xodr
Two vehicles at a junction
sample-junction.xosc + sample-junction.xodr
Command line

Generate a scenario from the command line

metromake --export map.json scenario.xosc # follow a lead vehicle
metromake --export map.json scenario.xosc --cut-in # cut-in from the next lane
metromake --export map.json scenario.xosc --junction # two vehicles at a junction
# each also writes scenario.xodr

More in the command-line export docs. The road network itself is described on the OpenDRIVE editor page.
